Lomo Saltado is essentially a Peruvian stir-fry. The beef is often seasoned using cumin, then stir-fried with tomatoes, aji peppers, onions, cilantro, and soy sauce. It also goes great with yuca, rice, or French fries!

Causa is a mashed potato dish, best served cold. Usually, it serves as an appetizer though plenty of people have been known to make a meal of it! This dish blends potatoes, meat (usually chicken or fish), eggs, avocado, celery, and olives.

Alfajor is one of the tastiest Peruvian desserts out there. This treat consists of a layer of sweet filling, which sits between two sugary cookies.
